The Minhaj Women’s League is the senior women’s wing of the movement in Britain. MWL leads women’s education, welfare, and advocacy work: from regular dars and tafsir circles to national campaigns on issues affecting Muslim women and families.
MWL UK is part of a worldwide network active in dozens of countries, guided by the vision of women’s empowerment through knowledge that Shaykh-ul-Islam has championed since the movement began. Locally, MWL teams anchor much of the day-to-day life of our centres.
Regular women’s lessons in Qur’an, hadith, and fiqh at every centre.
Supplementary schooling and mother-and-child programmes run by MWL teams.
A voice on marriage rights, domestic abuse, and access to scholarship for women.
Cooking and distribution for families in need, every week, all year.
Training women to lead centres, projects, and public programmes.
UK participation in MWL International days of action and conferences.
MWL welcomes women of all ages who want to learn, lead, and serve. Speak to the MWL lead at your centre, or contact us and we will introduce you.
